About us
Women Leadership Network Switzerland
Rosalyne Marie Reber founded the Women’s Leadership Network Switzerland in 2018. The aim of this platform is to promote and advocate about the SDG n°5 from United Nations, with a focus on women’s leadership towards gender equality. To tackle global challenges the platform is also supporting the 17 SDGs from the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development. This ethical perspective allows to strengthen the gender-specific implementation in a holistic and integrative view. The network organises events and workshops to bring together like-minded young women working in sectors of politics, innovation, management, media, design and entrepreneurship. The goal is to value each other’s talents and competences through collaboration and genuine connection. We want to create empowering conversations where personal stories and experience can be shared. We want to foster meaningful connections that enable us to drive change in our society for an inclusive and sustainable future.
The biggest challenge for women with leadership aspirations remains that first step: recognizing and accepting their own ambition and being prepared to make the trade-offs that come with it. The network encourages young women to acknowledge and act on their leadership potential. We believe that there is more that can be done by organization and society to support women, especially in an early state of their career path. By exposing the latest research from an international and national perspective on the development of feminist policies, the platform also brings a scientific and contemporary approach from women’s right to a more sustainable society. In terms of gender parity men and women must have the same chances and opportunities to participate in decision of power. From an economic perspective gender balance and diversity in terms of talents in managerial positions, is proven to contribute to economic growth, competitiveness and performance.
To communicate about this societal relevant topic, the platform uses the power of digital technologies with storytelling via social media. The goal is to educate people and sharing knowledge on making visible the status of women on still existing gender gaps through visual communication combined with informative content. At the same time through interviews with role model leaders, it allows to raise awareness about women’s capacity to lead and give practical recommendations to be inspired by. Moreover the highest purpose of the platform is creating along the way an inclusive culture to especially motivate young women to work in leadership and decision-making positions to shape the future of our global economy in equal ways for the higher good of our society.

I earned a CAS in Foreign Affairs and Applied Diplomacy since 2022, to further enhancing my global perspective on diplomacy and international relations. Fostering Diversity for Inclusive Growth
Fair representation and participation of women and men in public life, including in leadership positions, is crucial to realising gender equality.The composition of public institutions must reflect society if it is to be perceived as legitimate, capable of delivering just policies and upholding equality before the law. Ensuring gender balance in public decision making has been increasingly highlighted by OECD countries as a key governance issue related to fairness, transparency and inclusive policy outcomes. Only gender balanced and different policy-makers can have the know-how to tackle the different needs of citizens.
OECD countries have made important progress in closing the gender divide in public life. However, much still needs to be done to equally include men and women in policy making and public governance, and to fully equip governments to effectively deliver gender fair policy outcomes. Women still lag behind men in access to decision-making and leadership positions.

🇺🇳🕊️ The nearly 200 countries at the UN climate change conference in Baku, Azerbaijan also reached important agreements on carbon markets, transparent climate reporting and adaptation.
The finance agreement at COP29 comes as stronger national climate plans become due from all countries next year. These new climate plans must cover all greenhouse gases and all sectors, to keep the 1.5°C warming limit within reach.

Future generations lack political representation, constituting ‘shadow interests’ in our systems of governance. Yet ensuring their wellbeing may soon become a political concern
As the UN’s Summit of the Future concluded in September 2024, the question of how to represent future generations in policy has begun to take centre stage in discussions about global governance.
The Summit aimed to “bring world leaders together to forge a new international consensus on how we deliver a better present and safeguard the future,” referencing the ‘atmosphere of mistrust’ and ‘outdated structures’ that present a barrier to effective governance on key existential issues such as climate change.
“Climate change is, of course, a collective action problem, but it’s also a problem of transition – of how to make intertemporal trade-offs between generations,” says Thomas Hale, Professor of Political Science at the Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford University.
Hale’s recently published book, Long Problems: Climate Change and the Challenges of Governing Across Time, argues that just as globalisation has shown us how geographically ‘wide’ modern political problems are, the ‘length’ of problems has also extended across time.
